Burglar strikes at trader’s house, flees with ₹2L, clothes

Ludhiana: A burglar struck at a house in Shaheed Karnail Singh Nagar and decamped with Rs 2 lakh cash, expensive clothes and a mobile phone.
Budhram, owner of the house who has a grocery store, claimed that he and his other family members had slept around 11pm and when they woke up in the morning, they found articles scattered in one of the rooms. He said the thief targeted that room where no one was there and fled with Rs 2 lakh, a mobile phone and five bags of clothes.

Police officials said after the incident, the complainant informed the police. Sadar police have started a probe into the matter. Police later registered a theft case in the matter. Police officials said police have got CCTV footage and is trying to identify the accused. tnn
