Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 5.25 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 4.27 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 3.32 crore), Campus Activewear Ltd.(number of shares traded: 3.12 crore), Future Consumer (number of shares traded: 2.05 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.58 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 1.52 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 1.43 crore) and Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 1.21 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:01AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 45.25 points down at 17031.65, while BSE Sensex was down 95.33 points at 57829.95 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Infosys Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.82 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 0.45 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.93 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.42 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.31 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
