PATNA: A 21-year-old Vaishali woman allegedly died by suicide after failing in Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) Intermediate examination. Shocked by the incident, her husband also attempted to end his life. He was, however, saved by his family members and neighbours.
The woman, Anjali Kumari, was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her residence at Khajwatta village under Bidupur block in the district late on Wednesday night.
According to family members, Anjali had appeared for Class XII exam in arts stream. She, however, failed in the exam, the results of which were declared on Tuesday. Anjali's father-in-law Sukhadi Thakur said she was depressed after declaration of the results.
