I’m not digging roads: Babush

Panaji: Revenue minister Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate, the Panaji MLA, on Friday said that he will hold engineers responsible if waterlogging occurs. “Ultimately, engineers are responsible,” Monserrate said. “As the Panaji MLA, am I digging the roads with a spade?”
He went on to say, “Sometimes, we have to tell the engineers where the potholes are.” On the Smart City works, Monserrate said that the CM has said he will hold another round of review meetings. “As for the Smart City, the chief secretary is the chairman and the collector is the managing director.
