Efforts on to extradite Zakir Naik from Oman to India: MEA

Ministry of External Affairs official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi in a press briefing on March 24, said that the Indian government has taken up the matter with the Government of Oman and Oman authorities and will continue to take all necessary measures to bring him to face justice in India. "Zakir Naik is an accused in numerous cases in India. He is a fugitive from justice. We have taken up the matter with the Government of Oman and Oman authorities. We will continue to take all necessary measures to bring him to face justice in India," said MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi when asked about Naik's presence in Oman and if there is an issue that relates to his extradition.
