Traffic to be restricted at 20 places in view of Sarhul
Ranchi: The traffic department will restrict or prohibit vehicular movements at around 20 places in the city in view of the processions during the Sarhul festival on Friday.
There are three major routes for the processions in the state capital.
Starting from Kanke Road, the processions pass through Ratu Road, Bodeiya Road Sahid Chowk and Albert Ekka Chowk to reach Seramtoli.
Processions coming from Namkum, Khunti Road, Birsa Chowk and Doranda use the overbridge, Sujata Chowk and Munda Chowk to reach Seramtoli.
Processions originating at Argora Chowk and Harmu move through Kadru, Big Bazaar, Sujata Chowk and Munda Chowk to conclude at Seramtoli.
Ranchi traffic SP Haaris Bin Jama said, “The movement of private and passenger vehicles would be restricted or prohibited at around 20 places in Ranchi city.”
The department stated that movement of vehicles would be prohibited from the SSP residence to the Sahid Chowk, from Zakir Hussain Park to Kutchery Chowk, from old municipal corporation building to Commissioner Chowk, from Upper Bazaar to Sahid Chowk, from Chadri Talab to Albert Ekka Chowk, from Purulia Chowk to Sarjana Chowk, from Vishnu cinema to main road, from Church Road to main road, from western Upper Bazaar to taxi stand, from Wool House to the main road and from PP compound to the main road.
Vehicles coming from the Circular Road can move till Jail Chowk only. Similarly, those coming from Kanta Toli towards Bahu Bazaar would be allowed till Bahu Bazaar.
