Dumka: Governor-cum-chancellor of the universities, C P Radhakrishnan, will preside over the seventh convocation of the SKM University here on Thursday when he would confer medals and degrees to nearly 23,000 scholars and pass-outs of different postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) courses in campuses of the university in the last academic sessions.
SKMU vice-chancellor Sona Jhariya Minz said the administration was overwhelmed to welcome the governor, who would be making his maiden visit to any educational institution after resuming office. Union minister of tribal affairs
Arjun Munda, who was scheduled to attend the convocation as the chief guest, would give it a miss. "Munda Ji has expressed regret that he would not be able to attend the event,” Minz said.
Medals and degrees will be conferred on the pass-outs of the respective academic sessions of the PG courses of 2020-22 and and UG courses of 2019-22 batch by the Chancellor, Minz said.
