'Piya bole, Piyu Bole’ is a famous song from Vidya Balan and Saif Ali Khan starring 2005 movie ‘Parineeta’. The song is inspired by ‘Phoole phoole dhole dhole‘ from Tagore’s Kaalmrigoya collection. Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal gave their voice to the song.

'Man Mera Udta Jaye' from the 1962 movie ‘Maa Beta’ is inspired from the popular song of Rabindrasangeet, 'Monomor Megher Sangi'. The singer of the popular song is Lata Mangeshkar.

‘Bandhan khula, panchhi ura’ from the 1998 movie 'Yugpurush' is actually a remake of Rabindranath Tagore’s song ‘Paagla hawa badol dine‘. Preeti Uttam is the singer of the song.
