Need something to hear nav instructions while on my bicycle. Earphones seem unsafe. Maybe I should buy a bike phone mount, but a cheap one will probably damage my phone.

I've had nothing but bad experiences with cheap speakers, and I've had quite a few. I honestly don't recommend.
The sound is very muddy especially speech and lyrics, or terrible battery, or the plastic starts getting sticky, it's a poor experience all around.

The cheapest one I would recommend is the JBL Go. I bought mine in 2018, and it has survived treks, water, been dropped dozens of times, and it still works and looks almost as good as the day I got it.

JBL Go is hands down one of the best BT speakers in terms of price/sound/size/build quality. I would highly recommended to go for JBL Go. (you don't have to go for the latest 3, you can go for 2 which is available for 1999/- on amazon as you won't even notice the difference between them). Have one since 2021 and it is performs pretty much like Day 1 even till today.
