Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has recently launched SAFA App meant to be a one-stop solution for the people and the civic administration to coordinate and ensure proper cleanliness of the state capital.
Using the app, the citizens are supposed to raise their grievances related to sanitation, which are to be resolved within 24 hours while they can also book cesspool and garbage-lifting vehicles for bulk waste collection.
However, the users of the app do not seem to be very happy with complaints pouring in about several non-functional features and non-redressal of the complaints raised through the app among others. With a little over 10,000 downloads, the app received one-star rating from most of the users due to its unusable features. The registration system and the booking process for several services are also not very user-friendly, the reviewers said.
“The app is not working. To register your address, you need to know the ward number. The search option in the app for the ward number does not work. Even after everything is done, when you want to book a vehicle to take away garbage, it does not work,” said a reviewer of the app.
