Jaipur: Central party leaders have instructed the state BJP leaders and MPs to aggressively promote social welfare schemes of PM Narendra Modi government and not leave any platform to expose the
Ashok Gehlot government on issues concerning the common man during a meeting held in Delhi on Tuesday.
The meeting held barely eight months before the assembly elections and attended by national secretary BL Santosh and party in-charge Arun Singh directed the party leaders to show a united stand in all activities in the run-up to the polls.
“The MPs were told to take a charge of the party’s campaign from the front. They were told to provide all assistance to the local leaders in all outreach programmes and ensure that under their guidance, not a single household is left behind in reaching out to them,” said a source, who attended the meeting.
MPs including Union ministers Bhupendra Yadav and Arjun Ram Meghwal and Kailash Choudhary attended the meeting along with former cabinet minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Jaipur MP Ramcharan Bohra, Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari to name a few. Poonia talked about the party’s activities like Jan Aakrosh Yatra and the upcoming mega protest march in Jaipur.
“The impact of new districts on people has been discussed as ways to counter the state Budget. The paper leak turned out to be the biggest issue in the state and the party agreed to fight for the cause of youths,” said a source. For the MLAs, the message is to spend more time in the constituencies serving people and exposing the state government at all levels.
