Share price of GAIL falls as Nifty strengthens

Shares of GAIL (India) Ltd. slipped 4.01 per cent to Rs 105.4 in Tuesday's trade as of 02:14PM (IST). The stock hit a high price of Rs 107.6 and low of Rs 104.4 during the session.

The return on equity (ROE) for the stock stood at 19.11 per cent. Traded volume on the counter stood at 02:14PM shares and turnover at Rs 15.89 crore around that time. The stock of GAIL (India) Ltd. quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 115.63 and 52-week low prices of Rs 83.0, respectively.

The stock's Beta value, which measures its volatility in relation to the broader market, stood at 0.91.

Promotor/FII Holding
Promoters held 51.52 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2022, while FIIs held 17.91 per cent and domestic institutional investors had 7.63 per cent.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated sales of Rs 36334.2 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, down 6.65 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 38921.38 crore and down 36.77 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 26566.52 crore. Net profit after tax for the latest quarter stood at Rs 413.76 crore, down 89.06 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.

Technicals
