Lodge complaint against person circulating objectionable posts in my name: Gadkari

Nagpur: Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday sent a letter to commissioner of police Amitesh Kumar requesting him to lodge a complaint against one Dattatray Joshi who is allegedly circulating fake and objectionable content on social media.
The letter by the minister’s secretary Atul Mandlekar said the content with casteist remarks could disturb social harmony. The letter further mentions that the reputation of Gadkari is being tarnished in a particular community.
Officials from Gadkari’s ministry have also lodged a complaint with the cyber police. They said a tweet from the minister was circulated in the group by giving a wrong reference. “It is requested that the matter be seriously investigated and strict action be taken against the perpetrators,” Mandlekar said in the letter.
