How honest can you be with your loved one — without hurting their feelings? A24's latest comedy You Hurt My Feelings is a light-hearted, warm take on something so many couples grapple with.

Novelist Beth (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) shares a loving life and and supportive marriage with husband Don (Tobias Menzies). They find themselves at a crossroads when Don admits his true feelings towards her latest book.

The film is directed by Nicole Holofcener, who also created the Dreyfus-starring, critically-acclaimed Enough Said. In addition to Dreyfus and Menzies, the latest Holofcener offering stars Michaela Watkins, Arian Moayed, Owen Teague, Jeannie Berlin, Amber Tamblyn, and David Cross.

You Hurt My Feelings has so far been described by critics as "wryly delightful"(Opens in a new tab) and "affecting and relatable"(Opens in a new tab), with an "enjoyable ensemble energy."(Opens in a new tab) From the trailer, it's easy to see why.

The movie is set to hit cinemas on May 26, 2023.
