Man dies after suicide bid

Mangaluru: A 33-year-old man, who allegedly set himself on fire at his relative’s house under Konaje police station limits, succumbed to his burn injuries on Sunday.
According to city police commissioner Kuldeep Kumar R Jain, Harsha allegedly poured petrol over himself and his wife, who is reportedly seven-month pregnant. But his wife managed to escape unhurt by running out of the house immediately. Harsha was admitted to hospital with 75 per cent burn injuries where he later succumbed to his injuries. “Preliminary reports suggest that the couple had been fighting over some disagreements. A case has been registered and an investigation is on,” the officer said.
