Ludhiana: Samrala police arrested a woman and apprehended her children after seizing 23kg ganja.
The woman belonged to Gopalganj in Bihar and her son and daughter were both juveniles.
Police officials said on Saturday, a police party led by in-charge police post Hedon was patrolling the area when it saw two women and a boy carrying a heavy plastic bag at the bus stand.
Cops said the boy put the yellow bag on the head of the woman standing there and then tried to hide that bag. When the police party checked the plastic bag in the presence of DSP Samrala, 23 kilograms of ganja was found in it.
Police officials said a case under sections of NDPS Act was registered against the accused at Samrala police station. During preliminary questioning, the accused confessed that the consignment was brought from Bihar and was to be supplied in Ludhiana.
