Udaipur cops arrest over 750 criminals in raids over past 2 days

JAIPUR: A day after the major crackdown against criminals associated with various gangs, Udaipur police arrested 408 more criminals on Monday. Senior police officers of Rajasthan police headquarters on Monday stated that the outcome of these raids will further fetch good results in crime prevention and maintaining better law and order in the state.
Earlier on Sunday, massive raids were conducted at 350 places in 7 districts and 367 persons were arrested. The raids were conducted in Churu, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Udaipur, Sirohi, Pali and Jodhpur (Rural) districts.
“It has been found in the investigation that Ashish Bishnoi, aide of Lawrence Bishnoi was mainly into providing shelter to the shooters and others who had committed the crime on the behest of Bishnoi. He has also emerged as a financer of Lawrence Bishnoi,” said Om Prakash, inspector general of police (Bikaner Range).
He added that another accused Hari Om Ramawat, an aide of Rohit Godara had introduced Ritik Boxer to Godara. “He was into alluring teenagers and youngsters into crime and is a close aide of Rohit Godara,” Prakash added.He further stated that interrogation of various accused arrested by the Bikaner Range was underway.
Dinesh MN, additional director general (ADG), crime, said that the arrests of 367 criminals who are directly or indirectly associated with various gangs will fetch the police good results in crime prevention and maintaining better law and order.
“They would be quizzed on their supply chain of arms, who is controlling them and whose orders they are following. Also, we will keep on organising similar raids across the state to break the nexus,” he added.
