KIED opens first Enterprise Development Centre of Kerala in Angamaly

Kochi, Mar 21 (KNN) Kerala industries Minister P. Rajeeve inaugurated the state’s first-ever Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) in Angamaly on March 21, 2023.
The development centre has been opened under the government-run Kerala Institute for Entrepreneurship Development (KIED) at Inkel Towers-1.
With its focus on building innovative next-generation MSMEs and small businesses, the centre will provide support to conventional businesses seeking technology adoption.
EDC’s Incubation and Co-working Space was inaugurated by MLA Roji M. John and the website and Business Growth Programme was launched by Suman Billa, principal secretary, industries and Norka.
The inauguration was followed by a roundtable conference on regional-level ecosystem development, industry/academia collaboration and skilling.
During the course of the inaugural ceremony, there was also a display of technology and products by universities and research institutions and a session on success stories.
KIED is an autonomous State-level institute promoted by the Department of Industries and Commerce. (KNN Bureau)
