BHUBANESWAR: As the annual High School Certificate examination came to an end on Monday, the opposition stalled proceedings in the state assembly over allegations that the maths question paper, which the students appeared for on Monday, was leaked. Education minister Samir Ranjan Dash, however, denied the allegations and said the exam was conducted peacefully without any disturbances.
During Question Hour, opposition members from Congress and BJP started shouting slogans against the BJD government for not conducting the exam smoothly. They said the maths question paper went viral in several places. They walked towards the well of the House and stalled the proceedings, forcing speaker Bikram Keshari Arukh to adjourn the House till 4 pm.
“The education minister should resign on moral grounds. It is a matter of concern that the government is not able to conduct an error-free board exam. Blunders during an exam will affect students and their careers,” BJP MLA Mohan Majhi said.
