CHENNAI: A 35-year-old
man died after being hit by a
train at Perungalathur near Tambaram on Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Parthasarathy of Kolapakkam. He was employed in a private company near Chengalpet.
On Monday night, Parthasarathy was returning home after work. He tried to cross a railway track at Perungalathur. A speeding express train heading to Chennai from Guruvayur hit him, killing him on the spot.
The Tambaram Railway Police recovered his body and sent it to Chromepet Government Hospital for postmortem.
