Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Geekay Wires, Shrem InvIT, SP Refractories Ltd., Annapurna Swadisht Ltd. and Stampede Cap, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 111.65 points down at 16988.4 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Rite Zone Chemcon India Ltd., MPS Infotecnics, Ganges Securities, Future Consumer and Loyal Textiles, touched their fresh 52-week lows.

Overall, 13 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 37 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, HUL, BPCL, ITC, Grasim Inds. and Nestle India were among top gainers during the day, while Bajaj Finserv, Adani Ent., Bajaj Finance, Hindalco and Wipro ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 360.95 points down at 57628.95.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Retail, FMCG, Rubber and Tobacco sectors, while selling was witnessed in Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Plastics, Media & Entertainment and NBFC sectors during the day.
