Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district police have registered cases under the NDPS Act against seven persons in different police stations.
On Saturday, the Sullia police arrested a 36-year-old man and seized 44 grams of MDMA worth Rs 1.3 lakh.
The accused was identified as Kabeer SA, a resident of Bettampady in Sullia Kasba.
The cops also seized two mobile phones, a car and a weighing scale from him.
Earlier on Friday, the Puttur Town police booked a case against Mohammed Shafi, 30, from Ilanthila in Belthangady and Rafiq alias Munna, a resident of Kabaka Puttur in connection with the seizure of 190 grams of ganja worth Rs 6,000.
The Uppinangady police booked
Mohammed Salim, 39, a resident of Bilyoor in Bantwal under the NDPS Act in connection with the seizure of 6.6 grams of MDMA worth Rs 20,000.
In another case, the police also booked three others including Junaid alias Junni, 22, Mohammed Ashraf alias Achu, 30, from Kadaba taluk and Mohammed Junaid, 22 from Nekkiladi in Puttur, on the charge of consuming ganja.
