Latin America-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry, BIDA sign MoU

The Latin America-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LABCCI) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) in Dhaka.

Speaking on the signing ceremony, BIDA executive chairman Lokman Hossain Miah said the special economic zones in the country will provide a safe zone for foreign investors, a news agency reported.

LABCCI now received affiliation from the prime minister's office in Bangladesh and BIDA.

Nahid Ferdousi, commercial specialist at the Brazilian embassy in Dhaka assured at the signing ceremony that his country is quite interested to tie up with Bangladesh in all aspects.

LABCCI president Mohammad Anwar Shawkat Afser highlighted the ‘Bangladesh Investment B2B Event in Latin America-2023’, to be jointly organised this month by BIDA, LABCCI and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Argentina and Brazil.
