Rahul need not offer an apology, says Gehlot
Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot reached Delhi on Saturday and said Rahul Gandhi had said nothing abroad that called for an apology. Gehlot slammed BJP, alleging that it was adopting diversionary tactics on the Adani issue.
“Rahul Gandhi had said nothing new in the UK. He has been saying the same thing during Bharat Jodo Yatra and in Delhi. It is the age of Internet, and people could watch everything anywhere in the world. So BJP is making an excuse to divert attention,” said Gehlot.
The CM said if anyone had to tender an apology, it is PM Narendra Modi. “Modi has been tarnishing the image of the country abroad in the past nine years, denigrating the achievements of the governments in the last 70 years,” said Gehlot.
Gehlot warned that growing inequality in India could lead to a civil war like in many other countries if the unhappiness and anger rising among the people are not addressed. TNN
