Brahmins’ forum stages stir in Mysuru

MYSURU: Members of the Brahamana Yuva Vedike district unit took out a postcard campaign near Ramaswamy Circle here on Saturday demanding that the revenue department issue income/caste certificates to avail 10% economically weaker section quota throughout their life instead of restricting the benefits for a limited period.
They also appealed to bring necessary amendments to the EWS quota as the state is diluting the quota by the inclusion of 20 more categories into it. They also condemned the government for delaying the implementation of the EWS quota.
Vedike honorary president Mulluru Guruprasad, HN Sridharmurthy, Vikram Iyengar, Ajay Shastri and others were present on the occasion.
