Rohan Bopanna becomes oldest player ever to win ATP Masters 1000 title

Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden defeated top seeded Wesley Koohlof and Neal Skupskito to win Indian Wells title on Saturday.

India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden defeated top seeded Wesley Koohlof and Neal Skupskito to win the Indian Wells title on Saturday.

The Indo-Australian pair won the match 6-3, 2-6, 10-8, making Bopanna the oldest player ever to win an ATP Masters 1000 title.

Previous record belonged to Daniel Nestor of Canada, Bopanna’s former doubles partner, who won 2015 Cincinnati Masters at the age of 42.

This win marked Bopanna’s fifth ATP Masters 1000 title, his first since Monte Carlo in 2017.
