Now, visitors to Jaipur can see forts and palaces from chopper

JAIPUR: Now, tourists visiting the Pink City will be able to see the tourist places from helicopter. The joy rides will cover Amer Fort, Nahargarh, Jaigarh, Jal Mahal, Hawa Mahal as well as Aravalli forests.
Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation chairman Dharmendra Rathore on Friday flagged off the services from a resort in the outskirts of the city. The department plans to launch similar services in Jodhpur, Udaipur and other tourist destinations. Rathore said preparations are underway to start helicopter services for religious places in Rajasthan.
Sohan Singh, chief executive officer of the aviation company providing the joyride service, said they are providing two kinds of joyrides, small and big, having 5 and 15 minutes, respectively. The fare for a small round trip has been kept at Rs 5000, while the bigger round trip comes at Rs 15,000.
Rathire said a circuit will be made covering Khatu Shyamji, Salasar and Pushkar. The special circuit will be prepared for the devotees coming to visit the temples.
Similarly, RTDC is planning to start helicopter joyrides at other tourist places including Ranthambore, Sariska, and Bharat Bird Sanctuary, Bharatpur. At the same time, Rathore said the corporation will work on starting cruise tourism in Chambal. For this, a proposal has also been received from UDH minister Shanti Dhariwal, he added.
