Karnataka govt hikes RTC employees’ basic pay by 15%

BENGALURU: The state government late on Friday issued an order increasing the basic pay of all four road transport corporation — BMTC, KSRTC, NWRTC and NEKRTC — employees by 15%.
The order comes in the backdrop of RTC employees’ threat to go on a threeday strike ahead of Ugadi.
A decision on from when the hike comes into effect will be taken after discussions with stakeholders including employees’ unions.
