Child pornography: CBI Delhi team arrests Thanjavur man

TRICHY: CBI officials from Delhi on Friday arrested a 35-year-old man from Thanjavur on charges of posting a 10-year-old girl’s porn videos on the internet. He has been remanded at the sub-jail in Thanjavur after being produced before the special court.
Sources said the accused J Victor James Raja, an MCom graduate doing PhD in Environment Science, is a native of Poondi Thope village near Saliyamangalm. He is accused of circulating child pornography on social media with the help of his friends hailing from various countries.
The CBI team headed by DSP Sanjay Gautam arrived at his house on March 15 at night, woke him up and made inquiries. He was then taken to another place in the city for questioning.
On Friday, they booked him under Information Technology Act 67B and seven more sections under Pocso Act and IPC 120B before arresting him. The special court remanded him for two days in judicial custody and instructed CBI officials to produce him before the court on March 20.
