Adani Transmissions(up 5.00%), ADANIGREEN(up 5.00%), Jyoti Structures(up 4.41%), PTC India(up 3.00%), Inox wind(up 2.96%), NHPC(up 2.83%), Indowind Energy(up 1.83%), Orient Green Power Company(up 1.71%), Hitachi Energy India(up 1.55%) and Kalpataru Power Transmission(up 1.50%) stood among the top gainers.
GE Power India Limited(down 2.93%), Torrent Power(down 1.88%), DPSC(down 1.78%), KEC International(down 1.64%), NTPC(down 1.48%), Indo Tech Transformers(down 1.45%), JSW Energy(down 1.08%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.06%), Karma Energy(down 0.82%) and Voltamp Transformers(down 0.51%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 114.45 points up at 17100.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 355.06 points at 57989.9.
HCL Technologies(up 3.36%), Hindalco Industries(up 3.05%), UPL Ltd(up 2.76%), UltraTech Cement(up 2.61%), Nestle India(up 2.21%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.13%), JSW Steel(up 2.11%), Tata Steel(up 1.86%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.78%) and Adani Enterprises(up 1.78%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Eicher Motors(down 2.0%), ITC(down 1.55%), NTPC(down 1.48%), Maruti Suzuki(down 1.43%), Asian Paints(down 1.06%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.06%), Cipla(down 1.06%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 1.0%), Hero MotoCorp(down 0.67%) and Hindustan Unilever(down 0.49%) closed in the red.
