In the Nifty index, HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 3.36 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.05 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 2.76 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.61 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.21 per cent) stood among the top gainers.
On the other hand, Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.00 per cent), ITC Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
