Rims dental college gets DCI recognition
Ranchi: The Dental Council of India (DCI) has awarded recognition to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (Rims) dental college, thus opening doors of opportunities for its students.
An official said the DCI has given recognition for a period of five years, after which the condition of the college would be reviewed. The DCI gave its nod after it found that the faculty members, support staffs, equipment, buildings and other infrastructure meet the norms. Congratulating the teachers and the staff, Rims director Dr Kameshwar Prasad said, “It would secure the future of students. The admission process of the college would also be conducted regularly.”
The principal of dental college, Dr MB Jaiprakash, said with the recognition, students of the college can practice and pursue higher education anywhere in India and abroad.
Initially, 50 students were admitted in the college. The state government added 13 seats for the economically weaker section from the 2019-20 batch.
