Indian Army Cheetah helicopter crashes in Arunachal Pradesh

NEW DELHI: An Army Aviation Cheetah helicopter flying an operational sortie near Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh bordering China is reported to have crashed near Mandala, west of Bomdila. The chopper had went missing several hours ago.
Defence PRO Lt col Mahendra Rawat said, “Search parties have been launched. The chopper was reported to have lost contact with the ATC at around 9:15 am on Thursday.”
The search operation for the pilots is under way.
