Man, parents charged with murder of wife in Madikeri

MADIKERI: A man and his parents have been booked on charges of murdering a woman. The incident has been reported at 6th Hoskote of Kushalnagar taluk.
Following a complaint, the accused man has consumed poison and is being treated at the Madikeri District Hospital. Akshita, 18, daughter of Raju of 6th Hoskote, was having an affair with Hemanth of the same village. The two married three days ago at the village temple.
However, on Tuesday night, Akshita's parents received a phone call from Hemanth saying that she had died. The parents rushed to their daughter's house to find her dead. When they asked Hemanth, he said Akshita bled to death, police said. An injury mark was found across her stomach, police said.
Following this, Akshita's father, Raju, filed a complaint against the accused Hemanth and his parents, Dasharatha and Girija, who have been booked for murder with Kushalnagar Rural police station. The police visited the spot and the body has been sent to Kushalnagar hospital for postmortem. Further investigations are going on in the case.
