Siemens shares down 0.66% as Nifty drops

NEW DELHI: Shares of Siemens Ltd. traded 0.66 per cent down in Thursday's trade at 01:53PM (IST). Around 4,047 shares changed hands on the counter.

The counter opened at Rs 3260.05 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 3269.45 and Rs 3203.35, respectively, in the session so far. Shares of the company of Siemens Ltd. quoted a 52-week high of Rs 3321.05 and a 52-week low of Rs 2150.75.

As per BSE, the total market cap of the Siemens Ltd. stood at Rs 115756.89 crore at the time of writing this report.

Key Financials
The company reported consolidated net sales of Rs 4116.8 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2022, down 13.51 per cent from previous quarter's Rs 4759.9 crore and down 14.04 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3610.0 crore.

The net profit for latest quarter stood at Rs 462.7 crore, up 84.56 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.

Shareholding pattern
As of 31-Dec-2022, DIIs held 3.33 per cent stake in the company, while foreign institutional investors held 6.74 per cent and the promoters 0.0 per cent.


Valuation ratio
According to BSE data, the stock traded at a P/E multiple of 65.93 and a price-to-book ratio of 8.49. A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price because of better future growth expectations. Price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.
