Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhat to perform in Dharwad

Dharwad: Bharateeya Sangeet Vidyalaya will organise a Hindustani classical music festival at Srujana Auditorium from 6pm this Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Swara Zankar, music for world peace will feature a violin-santoor duet by Pt Atulkumar Upadhye in the first session and mohan veena by Grammy award recipient Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhat. On Sunday Punit Balan Group of Pune will present Vijay Ghate’s ‘Taalchakra’ music concert. Taalchakra is a music festival started by Vijay Ghate and a few others.
Vijay Ghate will play the tabla while Pandit Ram Deshpande will present a vocal concert. Sheetal Kolwalkar will present Kathak dance. Entry for the programme is free.
