New Zealand Earthquake News LIVE: An earthquake of 7.1 magnitude struck the Kermadec Islands region in New Zealand on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said. The quake was estimated at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles) USGS added. A tsunami warning was issued after the quake, the U.S. Tsunami Warning System said.
A tsunami warning has also been issued after the earthquake. Reports in the New Zealand media suggest rescue measures have been started in the region.
However, there is no Tsunami threat to Australia, country’s Bureau of Meteorology said in a tweet.

Assam boards class 10 question paper sold for up to Rs 3,000 on WhatsApp: Police
- "The investigation has revealed that the question paper of the General Science examination were sold for anything between Rs 100 and Rs 3,000. We have found that somewhere it was sold for Rs 100, somewhere for Rs 200-300, and it went up to Rs 3,000. Assistance is being sought from WhatsApp to identify the origin of the leak," Director-General of Police Gyanendra Pratap Singh said on Thursday.
- "I am happy with the investigation and the progress we made over the last three days. Hopefully, we will crack this case soon.
- The General Science question paper of the class 10 exam was leaked on Sunday night, and the exam scheduled on Monday was cancelled.
- The state CID, which is investigating the case, has so far apprehended 25 people, including children, from various parts of Assam, besides interrogating several others to identify the source of the leak.
- According to a SEBA notification, the cancelled examination will now be held on March 30

Pakistan govt raises petrol price to PKR 272 per litre
- Pakistan government has raised the price of petrol toPakistani Rupee (PKR) 272 per litre, adding pressure on theinflation-weary people, Geo News reported.
- The Finance Division, in its fortnight bulletin, attributed the pricehike to the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollarand an increase in the prices registered by Platts Singapore, accordingto Pakistan-based Geo News.

Factory in northwest Delhi catches fire, 1 fire department staff injured
- A factory dealing with plastic materials caught fire in northwest Delhi's Wazirpur area, officials said on Thursday.
- Information about the blaze was received at 10.40 pm on Wednesday, following which 12 fire tenders were rushed to the spot, an official said. One fire department staff received man injury while dousing the blaze, the official said.
- According to fire department, the blaze was doused at 6.35 am on Thursday and the cooling process is currently underway.
