Congress MLA returns from CM Basavaraj Bommai's residence empty-handed

HUBBALLI: Kundagol Congress MLA Kusumavati Shivalli visited the CM's residence in Hubballi on Wednesday and waited for an hour to meet him to demand funds for her constituency. However, CM Basavaraj Bommai left without meeting her.
Kusumavati told reporters that she wanted to meet the CM in connection with development works in Kundagol. "There was no political reason for the visit. One need not connect it to politics. As CM was busy, I could not meet him," she added.
When asked about dissidence in Kundagol Congress, she said she will be the candidate and none can prevent her getting the ticket. "Prajadhvani yatra was cancelled in Kundagol as it was organised at the same time as in Kalghatgi," she added.
