Prof. Satish Appointed as the Vice Chancellor of SRM University Sikkim

Gangtok, 16 March : Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar has been officially appointed as the Vice Chancellor of SRM University Sikkim. An alumnus of Andhra University, who pursued Ph.D. in Punjabi University, Patiala and National Institute of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi and Master in Management at McGill University, Montreal, Prof. Satish brings with him an experience of more than 3 decades. He has worked in various reputed institutions of India in different administrative capacity. He has formerly worked as a Research Associate and Assistant Professor in IIHMR Jaipur, as the Dean of the School of Public Health at SRMIST and as the Registrar of SRM university Sikkim.
Professor Satish’s expertise lies in research and institution development. As a core researcher and Principle Investigator, he has lead more than 35 nationally and internationally funded projects on health and development and is currently researching on Oral Cancer in Sikkim, a research project funded by ICMR. He has been instrumental in developing the institutions like IIHMR Jaipur, School of Public Heath, SRMIST and at present working intensely for the full-fledged development of SRM University Sikkim.
