NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), in its resolution passed during its top decision-making meeting, Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS), has endorsed the leadership of PM
Narendra Modi, saying that the “pancha-pran” mantra given by him in his Independence Day speech last year will help India emerge as a developed nation free from the colonial mindset.
“For rebuilding the nation, we need to make special efforts for achieving the objectives such as strengthening the family institution, creating a fraternity based harmonious society and developing entrepreneurship with Swadeshi spirit. The entire society, especially youth, will have to make concerted efforts in this regard,” the RSS said in its resolution and added, “As renunciation and sacrifice were essential for freedom from the foreign rule during the period of struggle; in present times, we need to establish a social life free from the colonial mindset and committed to civic duties for realisation of above-mentioned objectives. In this perspective, the call of ‘Panch Pran’ (five resolves) given by the Honourable PM on Independence Day is significant.”
The three-day meeting of the RSS in presence of top functionaries from across the country concluded at Samlakha near Panipat in Haryana.
Addressing the nation from the Red Fort on the occasion of 76th Independence Day last year, PM Modi called on the nation to move forward with five pledges to fulfil the freedom fighters’ dreams by the year 2027. These pledges are the goal of developing India, removing any traces of a colonial mindset, taking pride in our roots, unity and a sense of duty among citizens. The RSS, in its resolution, has endorsed the economic policies of the Modi government as it referred to the emergence of India as the fifth largest economy in the world. “After independence, we have attained remarkable achievements in many fields. Today, Bharat’s economy is emerging as one of the leading economies of the world. The resurgence based on Bharatiya’s eternal values is being accepted by the world. Bharat is heading towards a role for ensuring global peace, universal brotherhood and human well-being based on the conceptual framework of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’,” the RSS has stated.
