Cong slams BJP for Rs 25L training bill
Panaji: Questioning the need to spend Rs 25 lakh on the two-day training session for legislators, Congress’ state unit on Thursday accused the Pramod Sawant government of financial profligacy. Congress said that BJP has failed to fulfil many of its election promises, particularly the proposal to supply three LPG gas cylinders to domestic consumers.
“We strongly condemn the financial excesses of the Pramod Sawant government in spending Rs 25 lakh of taxpayers’ money on a two-day training session for MLAs,” said state Congress general secretary Vijay Bhike.
A press conference at the party office was held by Bhike, who also called the BJP’s upcoming ‘Prashasan Tumchya Daari’ programme an attempt at “self-promotion” ahead of elections.
