Bengal govt to hold multiple investment roadshows ahead of Global Business Summit in Nov

Kolkata, Mar 16 (KNN) The West Bengal government is planning to hold investment roadshows in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Jaipur ahead of the Bengal Global Business Summit on November 21-23.
As per reports, in the previous chapter of the summit which took place in April 2022, the West Bengal government attracted investments proposal worth Rs 3.42 lakh crore.
The date for the seventh edition of the summit was announced on Thursday at the West Bengal Industrial Promotion Board meeting chaired by chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
The investment promotion board meeting was attended by industrialists from Bengal and various chambers of commerce and trade bodies, senior bureaucrats led by chief secretary H.K. Dwivedi, industry secretary Vandana Yadav, and tourism secretary Nandini Chakravorty among others.
Sanjay Budhia, managing director of Patton India, who participated in the meeting, said, “All stakeholders, chambers, industry associations have been asked to work hand-in-hand with the state government to showcase various initiatives and invite companies from India and abroad to participate in the BGBS.”
CM Banerjee also announced that a memorandum of understanding to build a World Trade Centre would be inked on March 21. (KNN Bureau)
