AHMEDABAD: Three students from
Gujarat have secured positions in the Top 10 All India rank in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Postgraduate), 2023.
Prem Thilak Palani, a student of BJ Medical College (BJMC), secured AIR 2, followed by Aakash Sethi, a student of Vadodara medical college, at AIR 4 and Rahul Nambiar from BJMC at AIR 9. The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences on Tuesday announced the result for NEET PG held on March 5.
The cut-off score for the general category and economically weaker section (EWS) is 291 out of 800; for the general category and persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) is 274, while for the SC, ST and OBC category, it is 257. Sources said 4,000 students from Gujarat had taken NEET-PG. There are about 2,000 PG medical seats in the state. Sources said the Admission Committee for Professional postgraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPPGMEC) would shortly announce the schedule for admissions to the seats.
Meanwhile, appreciating the efforts of the National Board of Exams in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya said it has done a great job in declaring the results in record time.
"Congrats to all students declared qualified in results. NBEMS has again done a great job by successfully conducting NEET-PG exams and declaring results in a record time. I appreciate their efforts," tweeted Mandaviya.
