SOG , DD and Matigara police raids illegally run Call Centre

Siliguri, 16 March : The Detective Department (DD) and Special Operations Group (SOG) and Matigara Police, based on a tip-off, launched joint operation where they made several arrests on one illegally operating call centre on Wednesday night.

Raiding the call centre located at Webel IT Park, 5 girls and 20 men are being detained. The computer systems, hard disk, electronic gadgets are being seized. IN the case 2 men are from Gujarat and rest are from Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Siliguri says source. They all have been taken in 10 days police remand for further interrogation after permission from the City Magistrate.

As per source, arrested manager has been identified as Soni Gupta, a resident of Ahmedabad. As per the preliminary investigation, it has been revealed that the owner of the said call centre is Abhishek Rajput, also a resident of Gujarat.
