Apple iPhones are already quite expensive, especially in emerging markets, but they are set to cost even more in the future. A new leak has claimed iPhone 15 Pro models will get a price bump this year. It will be the first time we will see Apple increase prices in the United States since it did with iPhone X in 2017. The tip is coming from Jeff Pu, Tech Analyst at Hong Kong-based investment firm Haitong International Securities.

Pu claims Apple will increase prices for both iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models. He has made the prediction on the basis of all the hardware upgrades rumored to arrive with the two models. Some of these expected upgrades include titanium frames, solid-state buttons, increased RAM capacity, and even a periscope sensor on the Pro Max model.

While the latest leak does not mention exact pricing, we heard a few rumors in the past. Apple is said to be targeting a $1,099 price tag for the iPhone 15 Pro base model and $1,199 for the iPhone 15 Pro Max base model. This will be a $100 price bump over the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max respectively.

If we talk about other leaks, the iPhone 15 Pro is tipped to come with a unified volume button. It means there will be a single button for volume up and down instead of the usual two different buttons approach. A user will need to press on the upper or lower side based on if he wants to increase or decrease volume. Even the Mute button is said to become capacitive this year.
