Budget 2023-24 is for development, self-reliance: Assam FM Ajanta Neog

Assam Finance Minister Ajanta Neog on March 16 informed about the schemes in the Budget 2023-24. She said that it is a budget of development and self-reliance, which will bring change in the lives of people. “Today, I tabled the third Budget. This is a Budget of economic empowerment. I basically made some schemes based on women empowerment, self-employment and infrastructure development of the state. So, I make a balance of all these things. You must have seen that our economic activities, AGDP have risen. A new kind of environment has emerged in the state. I hope with this scenario, I tabled this budget in the House and the people of Assam will accept this budget as this is a Budget of development and self-reliance. I also feel that this Budget will also bring change in the lives of people in the state,” she said.
