Contractor challaned on activist’s plaint

Ludhiana: Activist Kapil Arora went live at social media on Tuesday morning to expose organic waste being burnt in Leisure Valley in Sarabha Nagar. Soon after his complaint to Swachh Bharat Mission project director, the MC officials swung into action and issued a Rs 5,000 challan to the contractor developing the valley. In another case a Rs 5,000 challan was also issued to an LIT official after burning of waste in valley in BRS Nagar. tnn
