LIVE News Updates: US claims Russian jet caused spy drone crash, Russia denies contact

-- A presidential advisory panel has on March 13 recommended that the grace period for H1-B workers to find a new job be extended to 180 days from the current 60 days.
-- Ajay Jain Bhutoria, member of the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders said the extension would give workers "enough opportunities to find a new job or other alternatives"
-- The recommendation was made to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and the Department of Homeland Security.

-- North Korea's state media KCNA on March 15 said that the country had fired two short range ballistic missiles at the eastern sea coast on March 14 as a "military drill" to train crew.
-- The missiles were fired aroudn 611 km across the country from the west coast in South Hwanghae province as a "demonstration drill", they said.
-- The training was aimed at crew fulfilling missions "to annihilate the enemy at any time", it added.

-- Tech giant Apple is expanding its cost cutting efforts after a latest round of lay-offs by delaying bonus of some corporate divisions, Bloomberg reported.
-- Sources told Bloomberg the frequency of bonuses would also be cut to once a year from twice a year for few corporate workers.
-- On the hiring freeze - open positions are not being filled and new hires are limited.

-- Asian markets led in support of the US Dollar after investors losened fears of the US Fed implementing rate cuts as indications of a full-blown banking crisis trimmed and inflation remained steadily high.
-- The USD rose 2 percent against the Japanese Yen (132.52 yen) and Euro ($1.0729) in early trade on March 15.
