Sikko Industries(down 4.18%), ZUARIAGRO(down 3.00%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 1.98%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 1.15%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(down 1.01%), Coromandel International(down 0.98%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.93%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(down 0.61%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(down 0.16%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.13%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 71.15 points down at 16972.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 344.29 points at 57555.9.
Adani Enterprises(up 5.8%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.8%), Asian Paints(up 2.98%), Tata Steel(up 2.11%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.85%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.51%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.38%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 1.26%), JSW Steel(up 1.13%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.07%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel(down 1.96%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.85%), Reliance Industries(down 1.71%), State Bank of India(down 1.49%), Nestle India(down 1.49%), Hindustan Unilever(down 1.49%), HDFC Bank(down 1.44%), Tata Motors(down 1.27%), Britannia Industries(down 1.16%) and HDFC(down 1.12%) closed in the red.
