Officials said Sudipto worked for an IT company in the past and that his current employment status was unknown. (Representational Image) The Pune city police have launched a probe after three members of a family including a child were found dead in their house in the Aundh area of Pune Wednesday.
The police have identified the deceased as Sudipto Ganguly, 44; his wife Priyanka, 40; and their son Tanishk, 8. The three were found dead at their apartment in the DP Road area of Aundh. “Primary probe points to the man taking his own life after killing his wife and child. Our probe is on,” said an officer from the Pune police.
One of the relatives of the deceased had raised an alarm and informed the Pune police after his calls repeatedly went unanswered. The police then went to the house in Aundh and found the three bodies. Officials said Sudipto worked for an IT company in the past and that his current employment status was unknown.
“Three members of a family were found dead at their Aundh apartment. Our teams have initiated a probe and we would be able to share more details soon,” said deputy commissioner of police Shashikant Borate.
